There have been many memories made throughout the years, however my best memories always contain children or young adults who get to experience the great outdoors for the first time. As a child, this was my main passion growing up and I can reflect on how it cultured the person I am today. New experiences shared in the outdoors with kids who for a few short hours entirely forget about today’s society, technology and young adult pressures that they may face. The satisfaction I receive from watching them forget about all these things, and enjoy their time in the outdoors with their family members is really what is most rewarding to me as a teacher of the sport. These are the memories and trips that I remember the most and try to instill in the children of my own.
