Murph has been a fishing guide since his days as a teenager on Lake Winnibigoshish in Central Minnesota while working at a resort. Since then Aaron as branched out and served as a walleye fishing guide on multiple other lakes such as Leech Lake, Bowstring, Round, Sand, Pokegama, and Trout. Murph is a die hard walleye fishing guide who truly enjoys the challenge that goes with catching walleyes on Minnesota lakes.
Murph brings a wealth of knowledge, experience both guiding and as a tournament fisherman, and a strong work ethic to the Leisure Outdoor Adventures team. He and his wife, Amber, reside in Cohasset with their three boys Macerae, Bauer, and Blaize. When he isn’t on the water or in the woods you will find Aaron spending his winters dedicating his time to his other major passion in life and that is the great sport of hockey. Murph will be leading the way in our expansion in the Grand Rapids Area as well as Eastern side of Leech Lake.
Favorite Guide Trip Memory
One of my most memorable guiding trips was on Bowstring Lake. The first year I took out a group of four guys from Southern Minnesota out on Bowstring we caught our limit in an hour and forty-five minutes. They couldn't believe it! This summer when they came back I told them we would hit Bowstring again. They were a little apprehensive because they didn't think they would ever be able to beat last year’s trip. Well we did, and had our limit of walleyes in forty five minutes! What a great day on the water.
